Since you want to reformat and re-install windows to clear out “junk”, you need to be able to re-install Office. To do that you need 2 things: the Product KEY and the correct installation file.
You cannot simply backup an installed copy of Office and “install” it on fresh windows installation. Product keys have to be used on the appropriate installation files, there are validations performed during activation.
